Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran
John Abraham and Diana Penty lead the cast of this Bollywood drama directed by Abhishek Sharma, which is based on the 1998 nuclear bomb tests conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran in Rajasthan. Captain Ashwat Rana (John Abraham) and Captain Ambalika (Diana Penty) are heavily involved in the top secret operation, the first tests of their kind since 1974, which hopes to confirm India as a fully-fledged nuclear state. However, the explosions draw condemnation from the rest of the world and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee faces a raft of sanctions intended to halt India's production of fusion and fission bombs.
