Dan (Varun Dhawan) is a 21-year-old hotel management trainee, who enjoys camaraderie with fellow interns including the beautiful Shiuli (Banita Sandhu). She holds a torch for Dan but he is oblivious to her nervous glances. Indeed, he is more concerned with impressing bosses at the hotel and getting a head start on his peers. A brutal and devastating twist of fate leaves Shiuli fighting for her life in a coma. Dan becomes acutely aware of her absence and begins to visit the hospital as often as he can, willing her to wake from her slumber. As he sits patiently at Shiuli's bedside, Dan experiences a profound spiritual awakening and he resolves to make sweeping changes in his life in this Hindi language drama directed by Shoojit Sircar.
