The Wind in the Willows: The Musical
Recorded live in 2017 on the stage of the London Palladium, this colourful musical for the whole family messes about on the riverbank with Ratty, Badger, Mole and speed freak Toad, with a book by Downton Abbey scribe Julian Fellowes and music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Directed by Rachael Kavanaugh, the knockabout story draws inspiration from Kenneth Grahame's classic children's novel, following Toad (Rufus Hound) as he blunders from one misadventure to the next, including at close encounters with the despicable Chief Weasel (Neil McDermott). Thankfully, Toad's long-suffering friends Badger (Gary Wilmot) and Ratty (Simon Lipkin) are poised to help the insufferable amphibian out of a tight spot.
