Hong Kong martial arts superstar Jackie Chan continues to defy gravity and his age to headline an action-packed sci-fi adventure written and directed by Leo Zhang, which is the biggest budget Chinese film to shoot on location in Australia and includes a breathtaking fight sequence performed atop the arches of the Sydney Opera House. Lin Dong (Chan) is an elite special agent, who is hired to protect a vulnerable young woman - the key witness in a major case. Subsequently, Lin becomes embroiled in a diabolical conspiracy that threatens everyone he cares about. Many years later, the publication of a sci-fi novel entitled Bleeding Steel spins a fresh web of murder and intrigue with Lin at the centre. He will need to join forces with powerful allies such as Li Sen (Show Lo) to unmask the shadowy mastermind (Callan Mulvey) and neutralise a deadly henchwoman (Tess Haubrich).
