On May 29, 1985, 39 people died and hundreds were injured in the Heysel Stadium in Brussels during violent clashes between fans of Juventus and Liverpool. The following day, Kenny Dalglish was appointed player-manager of the English club and he shepherded players through a dark period, which saw Liverpool excluded from Uefa competitions. In Dalglish's first year in charge, Liverpool won the league and FA Cup. Stewart Sugg's documentary is a portrait of Dalglish on and off the football pitch, concentrating on the sacrifices he made for his family and club as well as key events leading to his resignation in the wake of the Hillsborough disaster.
