Oscar-winning writer-director Alex Gibney (Taxi To The Dark Side) employs his razor-sharp documentary skills to re-examine the evidence from an unsolved crime and untangle truth and lies to expose a wide-ranging cover-up. On June 18, 1994, locals were crammed into a pub in the small village of Loughinisland in County Down, watching the Republic Of Ireland football team play Italy in the Fifa World Cup. Gun men burst into the pub, shooting six men dead and wounding five others in a hail of bullets. Subsequent police investigations failed to result in anyone being charged for the killings.
