The Godfather: Part II
Violence begets violence in the Oscar-winning second chapter of Francis Ford Coppola's sprawling crime trilogy, which moves from Sicily to New York to Cuba. Family loyalties are tested as Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) continues to assert himself and rises up the ranks of the criminal fraternity, destroying anyone who stands in his way. Meanwhile, young Vito Corleone (Robert De Niro) dips his toes into organised crime for the first time and lays the foundations for a new, stronger Corleone dynasty, for whom the sins of the fathers are repeated by sons with blood-spattered gusto.
