An elite operative becomes embroiled in a bloodthirsty African conflict in director Jing Wu's action-packed sequel to his 2015 blockbuster. Leng Feng (Wu) has retired to Africa where he hopes to enjoy a quieter life than the barrage of brutality he weathered as a member of the Chinese Special Forces. The tranquillity is shattered by a civil war and the arrival of American mercenaries led by fearsome Big Daddy (Frank Grillo). Since the Chinese government is powerless to intervene in the conflict, Feng puts himself on the line to protect the local Chinese community from harm. Meanwhile, a deadly epidemic is sweeping across Africa and a beautiful Chinese doctor (Celina Jade) crosses paths with Feng as she attempts to engineer a cure.
