Once Upon a Time
Zhao Xiaoding and Anthony LaMolinara co-direct this lavish Chinese fantasy about star-crossed lovers chasing their destiny, based on the novel Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms by Tang Qi. The goddess Bai Qian (Liu Yifei), who harks from the Heavenly Realms, must prove herself worthy of the title of High Goddess by undertaking a trial in the mortal world. In new surroundings, Bai Qian falls madly in love with Ye Hua (Yang Yang) and they marry. However, their romance echoes through thousands of years of turbulent history. When ghosts of the past return to haunt Bai Qian, everything she holds dear threatens to fall into ruins and she must fight until her dying breath to maintain her fragile relationship with Ye Hua.
