Len Collin directs a sensitively observed love story, adapted by Christian O'Reilly from his stage play of the same title. Larry (Kieran Coppinger) is madly in love with Sophie (Charlene Kelly) and they would dearly like to consummate their relationship but since they are both intellectually challenged, Section 5 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act, 1993 in Irish law prevents them from having sex without first getting married. Larry persuades sympathetic care worker Tom (Robert Doherty) to use his savings to book a hotel room during a group outing to Galway. While the rest of the gang including Matthew (Paul Connolly), Peter (Michael Hayes), Sandy (Emer Macken) and William (Frank Butcher) are watching a film at a cinema, Tom chaperones Larry and Sophie to the hotel for some quality time alone. Unfortunately, other members of the group leave the cinema early and embark on their own journeys of self-discovery without Tom's supervision.
