Cardboard Gangsters
A group of friends foolishly attempts to clamber up the rungs of Dublin's criminal underworld in director Mark O'Connor's gangland caper. Jake Connolly (John Connors) is struggling to make a decent living from his DJ sets. His benefits could be stopped and his girlfriend is pregnant, at the very same time that his mother Angela (Fionna Hewitt-Twamley) could be turfed out of her home. Jake and his buddies decide to strike back against the system by thieving and selling drugs. Their ill-conceived efforts bring them into conflict with the local kingpin, Derra Murphy (Jimmy Smallhorne), who won't tolerate newcomers operating on his turf.
