Shot on location in Somerset, Hope Dickson Leach's directorial debut is an intimate portrait of a dysfunctional father-daughter relationship. Clover Catto (Ellie Kendrick) is training to become a veterinarian when she receives a distressing telephone call about her younger brother, Harry (Joe Blakemore). He is dead and Clover must return home to her estranged father Aubrey (David Troughton) as the family prepares for the funeral. Returning to an area of Somerset, which has been devastated by floods in the past six months, Clover discovers Aubrey is an empty husk and the farm is in dire straits. The patriarch maintains that Harry's death was a silly accident while local police prefer to believe it was a suicide by shotgun. As Clover learns the truth about her sibling's final days, she takes charge of the ailing farm and hopes to keep the business afloat.
