Batman
To mark the 80th anniversary of the creation of Batman, 4K restorations of films featuring the caped Crusader return to selected cinemas for one day only. Tim Burton's stylish adaptation of Bob Kane's comic-strip adventure pits Michael Keaton's troubled Bruce Wayne and trusty butler Alfred (Michael Gough) against the maniacal Joker (Jack Nicholson) with a distinctly gothic Gotham providing the background. Beautiful photojournalist Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) is caught in the crossfire between cowled good and grinning evil. A little flawed in its quest to be bold and new, but Burton's vision will hypnotise you.
