Power corrupts the innocent in the third instalment of the Sarkar franchise, directed once again by Ram Gopal Varma. Amitabh Bachchan reprises his role as all-powerful leader Subhash Nagare, who must continue his reign without his two beloved sons, Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) and Vishnu (KK Menon). Political rival Govind Deshpandey (Manoj Bajpayee) is determined to wrest power from Subhash - by fair means or foul - and sets in motion a cunning plan of one-upmanship. Subhash counters each threat with the help of his trusted aide Gokul (Ronit Roy), Meanwhile, Annu Karkare (Yami Gautam) vows revenge against Subhash, who she blames for the death of her father. She slyly exploits tensions within Subhash's family, manipulating his arrogant grandson Cheeku (Amit Sadh) as an unsuspecting pawn in her Machiavellian scheme.
