The Autopsy of Jane Doe
Screening for one night only in collaboration with Frightfest, this special presentation of director Andre Ovredal's gruesome supernatural horror includes a 15-minute Q&A with the filmmaker hosted by journalist and horror aficionado, Alan Jones. Coroner Tommy Tilden (Brian Cox) and his grown-up son Austin (Emile Hirsch) oversee a family-owned morgue and crematorium in their sleepy corner of Virginia. They are dedicated to their work and the bodies entrusted to their care so when Sheriff Sheldon Burke (Michael McElhatton) asks Tommy and Austin to perform an urgent post mortem on an unidentified female victim - Jane Doe (Olwen Kelly) - they oblige. At first, the procedure begins like any other post mortem but when Tommy and his son Austin delve beneath Jane's skin, they discover her internal organs have been charred and dismembered. With each passing minute, the results of their exploration become more disturbing, and the Tildens come face-to-face with a terrifying otherworldly force in the cramped confines of their crematorium.
