It's Only The End Of The World (Juste la fin du monde)
French Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan collected the coveted Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for this emotionally wrought drama about a young man returning home to his estranged family. Adapted from the play of the same title by Jean-Luc Lagarce, It's Only The End Of The World centres on 34-year-old gay playwright Louis (Gaspard Ulliel), who has not seen his family for 12 years. Returning home in the midst of a battle with terminal illness, which he has keep secret from his mother Martine (Nathalie Baye) and the rest of the brood, Louis encounters hostility from his brother Antoine (Vincent Cassel). Thankfully, Antoine's wife Catherine (Marion Cotillard) is more open to reconciliation, while his sister Suzanne (Lea Seydoux) doesn't really remember him. Secrets come to the fore as Louis debates whether to tell the family about his impending death.
