All This Panic
Photographer Jenny Gage makes her feature film debut with this documentary portrait of a three-year period in the lives of seven girls from New York City, who are on the cusp of adulthood and poised to make important choices about their futures. The film cuts back and forth between the subjects as they wrestle with growing pains and issues of family dysfunction, sexuality, dating, fashion and fitting in. The teenagers include Olivia, who is worried about how her parents will react when she comes out; Lena, who overcomes rejection by her high school crush with positivity and a sense of purpose; Sage, who must come to terms with losing her father; and Ginger, who would rather party and have fun that confront the harsh reality of paying her own way.
