The New Man
Life becomes emotionally raw art in The New Man, a frank and revealing documentary by film director Josh Appignanesi and his wife, lecturer Devorah Baum, about their efforts to become parents. Appignanesi turns the camera on himself when he embarks on the momentous journey to fatherhood. Excitement and anticipation turn to pain when the couple discover they are unable to conceive. Josh's professional life unravels and he reluctantly considers the possibility of assisted reproduction.
