The First Monday in May
For the rich and fabulous, the first Monday in May is earmarked as one of the most important dates in the fashion calendar: the Met Gala fundraiser organised by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Documentary filmmaker Andrew Rossi goes behind the scenes of this lavish spectacle in the company of the Institute's curator Andrew Bolton, who must oversee the ball and the accompanying exhibition China: Through The Looking Glass. Vogue's notorious editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is his adviser throughout each trial and tribulation as the ball prepares to welcome the world's biggest and most impeccably attired celebrities including George Clooney, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain.
