Home Alone
A festive reissue of Chris Columbus's 1990 home invasion comedy, which turned a 10-year-old Macaulay Culkin into a global star. Peter McCallister (John Heard) and his wife Kate (Catherine O'Hara) hurriedly prepare for a Christmas break in Paris with their extended family. A power cut causes the clan to oversleep and in the McCallisters' haste to get to the airport on time, they forget eight-year-old son Kevin (Culkin), who is asleep in the attic. When the mischievous tyke realises he is home alone, he takes full advantage of his newfound independence. Kevin is blissfully unaware that burglars Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) intend to rob the McCallisters' house while the family is away in France. The boy becomes the last line of defence and he booby traps his home to repel Harry and Marv.
