Ghostbusters
Thirty years after it first haunted cinemas, Ivan Reitman's award-winning comedy returns to the big screen for one day only, looking surprisingly good after gargantuan leaps in digital effects. University parapsychologists Dr Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Dr Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) lose their research grant and decide to open their own business, Ghostbusters, containing the spooks and spectres that call Manhattan home. With receptionist Janine Melnitz (Annie Potts) manning the phones, the Ghostbusters are in high demand and they hire a fourth member Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) to help with the clear up. Meanwhile, in an apartment on 55 Central Park West, Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) becomes possessed by the demonic spirit of Zuul and the Ghostbusters must come together to avert disaster and destroy a giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, which is decimating the city.
