Ben Wheatley's feature directorial debut is a comedy drama shot in just eight days in the house where co-writer Robin Hill grew up - home to Bill (Robert Hill) and his son Karl (Robin Hill), who have just had a brush with the law over their shady deals. The two men speculate about who could have turned them into the cops, creating friction with Bill's long-suffering wife Maggie (Julia Deakin) and Karl's pregnant ex-girlfriend Valda (Kerry Peacock). As father and son plan retribution against club owner Garvey (Tony Way), who they believe to be a snitch, Maggie desperately tries to restore calm.
