Daniella Ramos is targeted for extermination by an artificial intelligence called Legion. A liquid metal Terminator prototype, the Rev-9, is sent back in time to eliminate Daniella and alter the course of history, which sees the human resistance fight back against the machines. Human-cyborg hybrid Grace is also sent back in time to protect Daniella. She is aided by grizzled Sarah Connor, who has dedicated her life to eliminating Terminators
