Thirtysomething paramedic Rike sails from Gibraltar to Ascension Island on her yacht, the Asa Gray. During the crossing, she faces a thunderous storm and when the elements calm, Rike is greeted with the sight of a fishing trawler overloaded with dozens of refugees.
