Reporter Reiko Asakawa hears stories of a videotape which supposedly kills the viewer exactly seven days after they have seen it. Sceptical at first, Reiko soon comes to believe in the myth when her niece Tomoko and a friend both pass away exactly one week after seeing the mysterious tape.
