When grandmother Jiang suffers a stroke, her daughter Min-Min cannot cope with the worry and retreats to a religious commune, leaving her husband JN in charge. JN has problems of his own at work, trying to woo potential client Ota and to contemplate a fling with old flame Sherry. The family fractures and mends old wounds, learning important truths over a fraught few weeks.
