Grief-stricken father Al seeks comfort in the arms of one of his students while his sensitive and lonely 13-year-old son Fin retreats into his private world of butterfly collecting. On the same day, Al and Fin meet florist Evelyn, who is newly arrived in town to escape ghosts of her dark past.
