Lightwater Valley

Lightwater Valley is one of Britain's top theme parks. Set in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside near Ripon, the park boasts more than 40 rides and attractions ranging from Jaw Droppers (white knuckle rides for thrill seekers) to Nippers (for younger visitors). You can also visit the Bird of Prey centre or shop 'til you drop at Lightwater Shopping Village.

Lightwater Valley Rides and Attractions

The rides come under three categories :-

  1. Jaw Droppers - 10 rides for the brave including :-
    • The Twister - a spinning roller coaster
    • The Ultimate - near vertical drops of 160 feet
    • The Grizzly Bear - a classic roller coaster
    • The Black Widow's Web - spin at high speed on this giant wheel
    Other Jaw Droppers are Hornet's Nest, Eagles Claw, Sewer Rat, The Wave, Trauma tower, Skyrider
  2. Whipper Snappers - Family fun on these rides suitable for children (some height limits apply) including :-
    • The Magic Wheel - kids only !
    • Falls of Terror - if you don't mind getting wet
    • Carousel - a classic ride
    • Buffalo Express - enjoy a ride around almost the whole park
    Other Whipper Snapper attractions - Dodgems, Go Karts, Skate Karts, Flying Camels, Caterpillar Coaster
  3. Nippers - Lightwater Valley caters for all ages and NIPPERS is a selection of rides and attractions for the youngest visitors (most with no height restrictions). The rides and attractions are :-
