St Barnabas Church
St Barnabas is a parish church of the Church of England. We are part of the Willesden Episcopal Area of the Diocese of London. We hope you find the information here useful. We would be delighted to hear from you or to welcome you to one of our services.
St Barnabas exists to worship and serve God and the community of Pitshanger Lane. The principal service is the Sunday Eucharist, each week at 10.30am. The congregation is made up of people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
St Barnabas seeks to be friendly and welcoming to everyone, whatever their situation or stage of faith. You don't have to be a member of the Church of England to worship with us. Indeed, you don't have to be a Christian at all to be sure of a welcome. We don't put pressure on anyone to 'join'. Those who worship with us over a period of time are encouraged to offer their time and talents to God as they choose. In this way the ministry of the church is built up and shared.
Activities through which some serve and to which any are welcome include Sunday School, Young Church, Youth Group, Choir, Eucharistic Servers, Drop In, and social events such as the Pancake Party on Shrove Tuesday and Bangers and Sparklers in November. Two big social events appeal to the whole community: the winter Frost Fair and the Summer Fete, on the same weekend as the Patronal Festival when we celebrate the patron saint of encouragers, St Barnabas.
