Jaywick Martello Tower was built in 1809 as part of a line of defences built to defend against Napoleons forces. Today the tower functions as a community arts and heritage venue. The tower hosts a range of exhibitions and event through out the year.
Since opening in 2005 the Tower has grown to become one of the most innovative cultural venues in essex.
