St Mary's Church in Grafton Regis
Church Of St Mary The Virgin
This beautiful village church dates back to Norman times and has a wealth of history.
Of particular historical note is an altar tomb, now standing in the north aisle, to the memory of Sir John Woodville with its link through Elizabeth Woodville and Edward IV to the present royal family.
The church also contains many interesting monuments to the Fitzroy's descended from Charles II and a fine east window in Munich stained glass in commemoration of Barwick John Sams, rector from 1838 to 1885.
The church is situated in a commanding position and provides extensive views across the Tove valley to the north and east. The two views here are to the north and show a mixture of pasture and arable land.
