Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery

Small family run specialist perennial nursery, owned by Ben Potterton,RHS Gold medal exhibitor,Radio Norfolk gardener and Curator of Plants at Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire. The Nursery started 11 years ago with the help of the Princes Trust. We grow a wide range of choice and unusual Hardy Perennials, specialising in shade and woodland plants. We are an RHS partnership Nursery, holding talks and events regularly, including plant fairs etc
We have a purose built Lecture Room/Coffee Shop built with a grant from SNDC which overlooks the gaden and private collection of birds & animals. Customers are welcome to have tea in the garden during the summer months.
We welcome group visits by garden clubs, WI's etc. on any day in the season,providing it is pre booked,for a tour of the Nursery and animal collection, lunch or afternoon tea can also be provided.
