The menu is divided into different sections to allow partygoers the chance to eat according to their hunger. The sizeable aperitivos are perfect to accompany caipirinhas, and include such delights as aipim frito (cassava chips), Linguiça na cachaça (spicy sausages flamed with cachaca) and Bolinho de bacalhau (salt cod fish cakes served with chilli oil). The vast sharing platters are ideal finger food for groups - try the Urca platter with its garlic prawns, crispy squid, salad and Brazilian dip.
The mains include a selection of dishes inspired by Brazilian classics: moqueca is a light fish stew with succulent seabass, king prawn, vegetables and coconut milk. Fejoada is that heartiest of dishes, black bean casserole with meats and greens. Camarão na moranga is an adaptation of a pumpkin-based sharing platter which combines butternut squash with king prawns and soft cheese. Look out too for juicy Brazilian rump steak, roasted baby chicken with okra and soft polenta and a great value pizza de palmito (with açaí palm heart, cherry tomatoes, cheese and herbs).
Additionally, other lighter snacks include saladas and sandwiches (Brazilian rump burger, grilled Halloumi and mango). Please email to request a sample menu.
