Edgeley Park

Edgeley Park,Stockport Information
Edgeley Park (Capacity 10,852 seats) is the home of Stockport County Football Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Union club. It is now over 100 years old and has seen on its hallowed turf many of football's greats, including George Best who played for Stockport County in 1975.

The ground is built in the classical Northern style with the more recently added Cheadle End (which seats 5000) providing a modern aspect and keeping Edgeley Park as a stadium full of atmosphere and fit for modern requirements.

At one end is the large Robinsons Brewery Stand, which is the newest addition to the ground and is the home end. This stand towers over the rest of the stadium, which looks rather small in comparison. Opposite, the Railway End is a former open terrace converted to a seating area. It is usually unused on matchdays and has a small electric scoreboard above it.
