York Street
Originally called Shodfriars lane, football has been played on the York street site since the late 1800's by a variety of Boston teams, but since 1933 it has been used by Boston United. In 1977, York Street failed an inspection for league grading, leading to local fundraising in 1978 which resulted in new terracing, stands, floodlights, toilets, turnsytles and snackbars. Although now the ground has a maximum capacity of 6643, the record crowd is 11,000 against Derby county. There are 10 more attendances of more than 8,000 on record.
