John Smith's Stadium - Galpharm Stadium

John Smith's Stadium - Galpharm Stadium,Huddersfield Information
The Galpharm Stadium is a highly impressive venture, with all forms of leisure and retail surrounding it. It was built as part of a scheme by the football club, the rugby club and the town council. The McAlpine Stadium is one of the most impressive stadium's in the country, with its futuristic design and modern facilities. The current capacity is 24,000, with away fans being allocated 1,500 to 4,000 seats depending on the size of the visiting club.
For Rugby League fixtures, only 2 sides are normally open. This stadium boasts good viewing all round, but due to the empty stands, the atmosphere can be poor. Fans have a choice of stands, and prices... The top tier of the Lawrence Batley Stand (...most expensive), the lower tier of the Lawrence Batley Stand, and the John Smiths Stand (...cheapest). The majority of home fans use the John Smiths Stand.
