The ground has been now been completely re-built since the mid 80's, but the initial impression is that one side is twice as big as the other. The Kop End (or now known as the Carlsberg Stand), is a relatively new two tiered stand.

Roads near the ground are residents-only parking. Midland road has around 200 spaces on it. Mannington Middle School on Mannington Lane also has spaces.
Parking: There is limited parking around Valley Parade. Eight marked bays are available behind the CIBA Stand in Midland Road for orange/blue badge holders. Disabled access is good. Currently, most disabled supporters are accommodated in the CIBA Stand at pitch side.
Facilities: Generally good toilet facilities with stewards available in emergencies. Three in Sunwin Stand and two in CIBA Stand. Catering outlets in main concourse with a low counters for wheelchair users.
Wheelchair Places: 92 Home - 6 Away. 48 pitchside places in CIBA Stand and a further 10 in each corner of Symphony Stand. Pitchside positions are not sheltered. Mid-tier positions in the Symphony Stand are covered. Poor elevation on wheelchair platform restricts viewing. Helpers sit behind.
