Community Learning & Resource Centre
The Wimborne Community Learning & Resource Centre is situated next to Wimborne Minster. Managed by Dorset Community Action, backed by a partnership of the Learning & Skills Council and Dorset County Council, the Centre is dedicated to meeting community needs as a venue for adult and family learning, and related community activities.
The Centre has a rich and varied programme of learning opportunities, most of which are open to the general public. Courses provided by Dorset Adult Education Service, DCA, U3A and several other organisations, range from; Business planning and Counselling skills, to Stained glass painting and Astronomy.
The Centre has 6 rooms available for hire for organisations wanting to provide training, or hold meetings or other activities, a café and an exhibition area.
Potential hirers are welcome to see the building to ensure that it meets there needs, so call in any time 9am-5pm Monday - Friday.
Generally speaking, hire for commercial purposes will not be accepted. In addition, although it is recognised that there is great demand, the Centre can not provide a venue for club meetings and leisure activities, unless there is a clear learning purpose.

All users are requested to use the ample public cars parks within the town. The King Street car park is situated at the front of the building and has 103 spaces
The Centre is mainly for Adult Learning but children are welcome if attending a session or if they are with an adult using the Cafe
We have limited car parking for disabled users near to our main entrance
No pets are allowed to be brought into the Centre with the exception of Guide Dogs and Dogs for the Disabled
Registered Charity's and Voluntary Groups can benefit from a discounted hire charge. We do have discounts and special offers on room hire throughout the school holidays.
