Verulamium Museum and Park,St. Albans Information
Verulamium was one of the largest and most important Roman towns in Britain. By the 1st century it was declared a 'municipium', which gave its inhabitants the rights of Roman citizenship. The town was attacked by Boudicca in AD61, but rebuilt after her defeat. The site is set within a 100 acre park. Special events see Guide.
