Handel & Hendrix in London (Formerly Handel House Museum)

The Handel House Museum was Handel's home from 1723 until his death in 1759. Handel composed many of his best-loved works including 'Messiah', 'Music for the Royal Fireworks' and several of his operas whilst living in the house. He also used his home for rehearsals and for selling scores and tickets to performances of his own works. The refurbished early Georgian interiors include furniture based on the inventory taken after Handel's death and fine art illustrating four themes: Handel's London, Handel the Man, Rehearsal and Composition. Regular public events include concerts, children's events, study sessions and free live music.
