The purpose of the Society is to paint in the representational tradition; the emphasis is on discipline of observation and draughtmanship. Every new member should be as good if not better than the best artist already existing in the society. Showing the work of 50 members in traditional style. Also etchings and cards. The Mariners Gallery in the crypt below has exhibitions throughout the season and is available to hire, for details ring the Gallery.
