Earlier, while promoting the film in Britain, he joked about his dog-smuggling apology video. And he's confirmed to play the lead role of the Brett Ratner-directed film "The Libertine" inspired by the Dominique Strauss-Kahn scandal.

Michael Shannon is in talks to star in Guillermo del Toro's cold war love story with the working title "The Shape of Water."

A feature film about the life of iconic pro wrestler Andre "The Giant" is in the works with his daughter serving as a consultant on the film.
