Chris Addison - The Ape That Got Lucky

Star of the BAFTA winning comedy The Thick Of It, and his own BBC TWO sitcom Lab Rats, Mr. la-di-da smartypants Addison is also regarded as one of the most versatile stand-ups in the country. With his pacy, energetic routines and faultless delivery, he has charmed audiences, Perrier judges (who nominated him twice) and critics alike as a top class purveyor of smartarse daftness, whimsy, perspiration, lies, jokes and flapping about. La-di-da smartypants Mr. Chris Addison - star of BBC TV's The Thick of It and Lab Rats - is back with a special, one-off revival, exclusively for the Shrewsbury Darwin Festival, of his critically acclaimed 2003 stand-up show The Ape That Got Lucky, which spawned a Sony Award-winning series for Radio 4. The subject? Why, the evolution of Mankind itself, discussed through the medium of jokes, lies, whimsy, half-truths, a fair amount of sweating and even the odd fact. Do come, there's a dear.
