The Abduction from the Seraglio

Shipwrecked on foreign shores with her maidservant, Constanze is sold into Pasha Selim's seraglio (harem). Until now, she has successfully rebuffed the Pasha's unwanted attentions - but he is determined to take Constanze as his newest wife, by force if necessary. After months of searching, her fiancé tracks Constanze down to the Pasha's heavily guarded place. But when his midnight rescue attempt backfires, Pasha Selim seems certain to take ruthless revenge. Supported by Colwinston Charitable Trust and the WNO Partnership. Sung in German with English surtitles.
