Jane Manning - Birthday Concert

Veteran soprano Jane Manning celebrates her 45th year of professional performing with a programme including world premieres of seven short pieces specially written for her. The programme also includes Elisabeth Lutyens's exquisite The Valley of Hatsu-Se, Ethel Smyth's extraordinary Four Songs for voice and ensemble. Completing the programme is the London premiere of her husband Anthony Payne's Horn Trio and Frank Bridge's magnificent, rarely heard Rhapsody for String Trio. Purcell Room
