About Novello Theatre

This was originally called The Waldorf and is a twin to the Aldwych Theatre. It opened in 1905. The name change occurred in 1909 when it became the Strand Theatre. That name remained until 2005 when it was given the name of Novello Theatre after some major reconstructions.

Some past productions include Arsenic and Old Lace, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, No Sex Please We’re British, Sailor Beware, Buddy, Saint Joan, and Lost in Yonkers.

The theatre offers seating for up to 1067 patrons on four levels.
