UK theatre information:
Theatre can be an ideal form of entertainment for children. Deciding on which show is suitable depends on the age of your child. Babies are not allowed in many theatres because of the disruption to other theatregoers.
Younger children may not have the ability to pay attention for the whole performance. If your child can not sit still for five minutes, then they will not be able to sit through a long show, even if it is aimed at children.
Children around ten years up should be OK with shows aimed at children and most shows that don't have an adult theme.
All this is irrelevant if you want to see a pantomime as everyone including the cast and most parents acts like five year olds.
