The nearest train station is penrith, there is also a regular bus route from penrith to temple sowerby.Travelling from the North (M6)Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 (Sign posted Brough and Scotch Corner) follow the road for roughly 6 miles and you will be on the bypass turn off at temple sowerby and follow the signs we are about 12 a mile up the road on the left, Travelling from the South (M6)Leave the M6 at junction 38 take the first turning off the roundabout onto the B6260 signposted Appleby, travel through the picturesque village of Orton, keep on this road for 9 miles over the moor (watch out for sheep on the road) drop into Appleby and carryon through the Town Centre and once over the bridge turn left follow the road to the top untill you see signs for temple sowerby ( past kirkby thore) travel on the by pass and turn off at temple sowerby we are about 12 a mile up the road
