By Car: From the north or south: - Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A591 signposted for Windermere. - After about 7 miles you will come to a large roundabout; simply head straight on, again signposted for Windermere. - After about 8 miles you will come into Windermere. Turn left into Elleray Road, which is just after the National Westminster Bank, then take the 1st right into College Road. - You will find the Applegarth Hotel about 50 metres along College Road on the right-hand side. We have a private car park available at the rear of the hotel. By Train: Head for Oxenholme Station on the west coast line, and change to a train to Windermere. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the station.
