Bowood Golf and Country Club the top golf course in Wiltshire is conveniently located in the M4 corridor close to the counties of Dorset,Gloucestershire,Hampshire and Somerset.Away from it all in a beautiful tranquil setting,yet less than an hour from Bristol,Bath,Gloucester and Swindon and just minutes from Calne,Chippenham,Devizes,Marlborough,Melksham and Trowbridge.From The East:To avoid congestion in and around Chippenham we recommend that you exit the M4 at Junction 14.Then take the A4 through Marlborough and Calne.Approximately 2 miles west of Calne you will see the sign for Bowood Golf and Country Club.You can also exit Junction 16 of the M4 and take the A3102 to Calne;from Calne take the A4 to Chippenham and follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood Golf and Country Club.Alternatively the route to Bowood is signposted all the way from Junction 17 of the M4.Follow the brown tourist signs to Bowood House from Junction 17,around Chippenham and then head towards Calne on the A4.Approx 3 miles out of Chippenham,large white pub on the right(The Lysley Arms).Just after the pub turn right onto the A342 (Devizes) following the signs to Golf and Country Club.Drive up the hill for approx 12 mile,then turn left into Derry Hill village.The entrance to Bowood is immediately to your right through the Golden Gates opposite The Lansdowne Arms.From the West:As above from Junction 17 of the M4.From the SouthTake the A342 towards Chippenham,continue through the village of Sandy Lane and soon after the road changes to a 40mph you will see the brown tourist sign for Bowood Golf and country Club.Turn right into the village of Derry Hill.The entrance to the club is immediately to your right through the Golden Gates opposite The Lansdowne Arms.From the North:M1-M25-M4 Exit Junction 17 and follow as West directions.M6-M5-M4 London Exit Junction 17 and follow as West directions.
